Crack Chicken (Not what it sounds like)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 2 lb. chicken tenders
  • 2 cups of bread crumbs
  • 3 eggs
  • Kosher salt
  • Ground pepper
  • 1 cup of BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • Juice 2 limes
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425. Pour your flower into a bowl and cover each chicken tender with the flour.
  2. Set up a dredging station: in one bowl, put bread crumbs, and in the other whisk together your three eggs and 2 tbsp of water. Dip chicken in egg mixture, then coat in breadcrumbs. transfer to baking sheet and season it with salt and water.

3. Bake until they are golden and crispy, from 20 – 25 minutes.

4. Once there is about 8 minutes left you will need to start the BBQ sauce.

5. In a medium sauce pan over low heat, whisk together BBQ sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, and garlic powder. Let this simmer until the chicken is ready.

6. Once the chicken is out let it cool for a few minutes. Put your BBQ sauce into a large bowl, then toss in the chicken. One at a time. Coat the chicken with your sauce using tongs.

7. Serve with ranch if desired and enjoy!

Over all this recipe was really fun to make and super easy! The chicken and the sauce was delicious, but I would suggest using Hickory Maple BBQ sauce with the recipe to add more flavor. I would give this recipe a….
